Sunday Snaps ....

Well, that fooled you, didn't it?!  I did say in my post yesterday that I wasn't going to put up any Sunday Snaps today, but I forgot that I had one already scheduled.  DOH!! (Well, I do like to keep you on your toes, just to see if you're paying attention!).

I thought I would continue with my walk through Cockington village today, and here are a couple more thatched cottages for you.

They had set up some craft shops in the old Stable Block ...

Can you see the wicker spider in the window here ...

We also came upon a Gorilla Trail, where artists had made life size gorillas and beautifully decorated them ...

Well my friends, another week has whizzed by.  It really is incredible how quickly the weeks and months seem to disappear these days.  Just remember ....

Happy new week

Hallo, dear Thisisme! I'm happy to see more pictures snapped in and around Devon. As always, I wish our old friend Desiree could be here to appreciate these charming thatched cottages dotted with greenery and flowers. I'm sure many people do a double take when they first lay eyes on that huge wicker spider. I'd love to stroll the gorilla trail and study the artwork on the 30 different "species" of gorilla in the collection.

I wholeheartedly agree with that quote by Kressnig. Another way of putting it is as follows.

"Experience is not what happens to you; it's what you do with what happens to you." - Aldous Huxley

Thank you for the smiles, Thisisme. Stay well until we chat again, dear friend.

Those thatched cottages are charming indeed! Those painted Gorillas are pretty interesting, too.

Those cottages are beautiful. I'd live in one in a heartbeat. Looks like that was a beautiful day too. When I lived in Connecticut there was a town there that did much the same thing with cows. They were painted abstractly and placed all over town. After the "show" was over, they were sold and the money went to a fund. It really caught on too. Gorilla art is unique too!! Hugs! XX

Love the photos you shared, they just show how beautiful it is where you live. Glad you had some sunny days for your walk. As for the Gorillas we have the same deal with Quarter Horses. It started about 15 years ago. Back then we had about 15 now I know it is over 100. When I figure out how to post photos I'll send you some. MUCH LOVE AND GIANT HUGS TO YOU AND YOUR FAMILY!!!!! *******

Stone buildings and cottages are special to me, and that spider is scarey. I like the gorillas, they are dear animals.

Dearest Diane;
Oh, the thatched roof with the western type house really amazed me, my friend♡♡♡ We no longer can see old thatched roof houses here in my area but I still clearly remember the one I saw when young. They sure had traditional atmosphere(*^_^*) I loved to see the other pictures as well♡♡♡

I DO love the quote very much. My physical condition is still ups and downs but this week will be different and makes me feel better p;)

Sending you lots of love and hugs from Japan, xoxo Miyako*
