Sunday Snaps!

This is getting silly now, how quickly Sundays come around!  I just want time to slow down a little and for life to be a little less hectic for everyone.

Anyway, here are my Sunday snaps for today.  I know that some of my facebook friends have seen a couple of them, but I'm sure they will forgive me if I post them here on my Blog.

They are of little Ruby Violet aged 17 months.  She is going to be dressed as a fairy for the wedding (you'll be pleased to hear that grandma will NOT be dressed as a fairy!) and will carry a wand made out of matching flowers that her mummy will be carrying in her posy.  Yes - well - it sounded like a good idea, but I don't think we will actually give her the wand until just before she is due to walk down with my thirteen year old granddaughter.  Otherwise the flowers may well be - well, who knows?!  They could be strewn all over the floor, or they might even be eaten!  It promises to be an interesting day!

"On the seventh day God rested. His grandchildren must have been out of town." ~ Gene Perret

Grandparents are a family's greatest treasure, the founders of a loving legacy, The greatest storytellers, the keepers of traditions that linger on in cherished memory. Grandparents are the family's strong foundation. Their very special love sets them apart. Through happiness and sorrow, through their special love and caring, grandparents keep a family close at heart. ~author unknown.

Ruby is absolutely adorable! I love that little pout...as her Granny, I'll bet you shower her with kisses, especially when she's 'pouting' :) I am SO excited for all of you and the day you reveal all through your photos of the BIG DAY, I'll be seated here, tea in hand and I'll oggle every picture you put up on your blog...and I do hope you're going to spoil us rotten...with MANY!!!

I love the quotes you've selected!

I guess you're really in 'countdown mode' now...how many more 'sleeps'?...for Ruby's sake. I think this wedding is going to be a magical event :)

What a sweetie-pie!
You must just melt when Ruby Violet comes to visit.

I too can hardly wait for the wedding photos - I think I'm more excited for this wedding than I was for the royal wedding!

Little flower kids can be quite surprising - either way it will be memorable!

Cheers, Jenny

Bethe - Hopefully she WILL be a darling fairy, and not a demon one!!!

Duncan - Yes, perhaps I'll fly in just as they're saying their vows, and sprinkle them both with stardust!!

Desiree - couldn't you just eat her?!! Thank you so much for being so excited for us and, yes, it really is countdown time now. Eeeek! (as a certain person would say!!).

Pearson - Hi there. It really is good to have you back! Yes, I'm hoping it will be a memorable day and hopefully for good reasons!!

SkippyMom - I'm glad you enjoyed the quote this morning - it's so true! Hugs.

Oh, there's my dear Ruby Violet! Every time I see that adorable child my heart leaps with joy. She must be the light of your life, Thisisme. I'll have you know that my "friend" Daisy loves to dress as a fairy! (LOL) Counting down the days till the 11th. It won't be long now, dear friend!

I'm getting excited for the wedding and I don't even know the couple! They're like mystery celebrities:) Which makes me addicted to your blog like I'm watching a mini series.
Thanks for sharing Ruby Violet with us. She's absolutely precious.

Shady - it really is so lovely of you to say such nice things about little Ruby Violet - thank you! Yes, she is the light of my life, but I also have a very special 'big' granddaughter who means the world to me! I often wonder how often you get to see your own grandchildren dear friend, because I don't know whether they live close to you or not.

kneesandpaws - it is so sweet of everyone to be sharing with me the excitement of the wedding. What will I have to talk about when it's all over?! Hee Hee!! Hope you're having a good weekend over there.

b.lee - how lovely to hear from you today. Yes, well spotted! That is one of those amber teething necklaces. It seems to have worked quite well for Ruby.

Eva Marie - thank you my friend. I hope you're managing to have a relaxing weekend over there in Ireland. Still pretty dreary here :( Still, it can only get better!!

Aunt Amelia - Hi! Thinking about it, I can see that I've missed a great opportunity for not dressing up as a fairy myself for the wedding. Hee Hee! It would have made for a great blog post too!! Blessings to you.

EmptyNester - thank you! Well, let's hope that Ruby doesn't entertain us TOO much!!

vintch - lovely to hear from you today dear friend! Yes, as you say, it's their little expressions that are so cute. I love the one where she is serious and just looking out at the garden!

Oh my what a beauty is Ruby Voliet and you are a lucky nanna/grandma. Our grandchildren bring such joy into our lives. They are our reward for putting up with their parents during the difficult years.
