Sunday Snaps!

I thought I would give you something a little different this week for my Sunday Snaps feature, so I have included a few photos of Alfred whilst having a bath a couple of days ago.  We had a little heater on for him, and warm water, because he's a little woose!

He was so soft and cuddly afterwards - and he smelled delicious!!

I love his little bath tub! Our puppies are bathed in our big bath and we do the Sheps in their large tub outdoors but have hot water laid on out there for this express purpose. Alfred looks very relaxed and I'll bet he loved all the extra attention afterwards.

He looks like he is being very good in the photos. Bless him.

We used to bath our dog in an old tin bath, years ago.

Aww poor Alfred. He looks like he is well behaved, my two just leap around trying to avoid the water!

Bethe - yes, he did seem to like it! He didn't make any fuss at all. Blessings to you too.

Desiree - yes, it's a little baby bath, which is ideal for our little boy! I can imagine that it must be quite a job trying to get all your puppies and Sheps bathed. Water everywhere I suspect!

Dizzy - yes, he was so good. Just stood there patiently until we had finished.

lyndylou - I can imagine it's fun in your house when you try to bath your two!! Hee Hee!

Ann Nichols - how lovely to see you here today, Ann. He is very sweet I must admit.

Orchid - Happy Sunday my friend. Hope you and hubby are well. Yes, little Alfred is such a good boy, although he can be a bit mischievous sometimes!

Raindrops and Daisies - yes, he is looking at me a bit strange, isn't he?! My daughter says that when she baths him on her own, he absolutely refuses to look at her. LOL!

Sush - he is a little cutie, and he is loved to bits! I have really enjoyed your last two posts, with all the photos of the grandchildren.

Awww, these pictures are great. I think he's tolerating the bath well. I've only had cats, so I don't have any experience with this. You seem to have it all down pat.

Is that really Alfred... or is it Thisisme disguised as Alfred? I'm becoming wary of every post and comment, dear friend! (LOL) I love Alfred's bug eyes. Looks like he kept a stiff upper lip during his ordeal which was very British of him. I could hug and pet that adorable little guy all day long. Thank you for featuring my buddy in Sunday Snaps and have a splendid day, dear Thisisme... (or Gawgus or whoever you are!)

Oh, what a sweetie he is! I used to work as a vet technician in school and bathed many animals, so I know just the feeling to get them clean and enjoy them.

Looks like he enjoyed it. Is that a baby bath tub?!

Spa day for Alfred looks wonderful. How thoughtful to include the heater and warm water. Our poor Ozzie is traumatized by the bathtub and will not, WILL NOT cross the threshold into our bathroom. So, he has to endure the humiliation of a "car wash" style bath on the lawn with a garden hose. We try to be gentle but there is no convincing him to cooperate. Wishing Alfred would come over and tell Ozzie that it's no big deal!

P.S. Luckily we bathe him outdoors in warm weather, I don't know what we'll do in the winter!

SkippyMom said...

What a cutie. He sure does seem to enjoy it.

We, too, have to bathe Scooby outside [he doesn't fit in the tub] and he is a water dog, so he loves it!

Spotty is a bathtub kind of pup and enjoys an occasional bath. We lucked out with both of them I suppose. :)

Eva Marie - yes, he was very calm about it all. My daughter has got him very well trained!! Hope you're having a lovely chillaxing weekend my friend!

Grammy Goodwill - hi there. Hope your weekend is going well. Yes, it didn't take very long at all, and he just stood there and let it all happen!

Shady - you're confused! I am utterly confused since being here. I did a comment on Gawgus'blog this morning, and it came out as her. Fortunately, I quickly went in and deleted it and started all over again. This is all just too much forme I'm afraid! To make matters worse, my daughter has all but pinched my post, so you will be seeing the same photos of little Alfred on her blog as well. Now that's really going to confuse you; LOL!! He has got bug eyes, and reminds me of a little Gremlin. Remember that film?! Stiff British upperlip is what we are all about my friend.

Shelly - that must have been a lovely job, dealing with all the animals. It is lovely when they smell all nice again!

Duncan - yep, that is, indeed, a baby bath, and it is just the ticket for Alfred! Lovely to see you here today.

knees and paws - poor Ozzie, having you chase around after him with the garden hose. Hee Hee! Alfred really is very good about his weekly baths. As you say, it;s going to be a bit of a shock to his sytem when the winter arrives!!

SkippyMom - Scooby and Spotty have great names! I'm sure that Alfred would love to have some play time with both of them! Hope all is well with you dear friend; Hugs.
