Quite the photographer Ms This! Love everything about your Zoo to Do day. The local children's train here in town has been down for rehab and repairs for a year now and I'm missing some choo-chooing!

Hugs

Claudia - thank you, and glad you like the background!

Orchid - thank you so much. We had such a lovely day. I hope you are feeling okay today. Hugs.

Sush - it's very difficult to get photos of the little ones at the moment, because, usually, just as you click the shutter, they have moved and dashed on to something else!! Or you just get the side of their head!!

dubgirl - wow! fancy one of my bloggy friends having been to Paignton Zoo! That was a surprise. It's a really good zoo, because all the animals are running free in their own type of environment.

Bethe - the Zoo is fun, isn't it? The little ones were very tired by the end of the day (and grandma too!).

Just to let you know I finally got a text from the kids. All is well and they are safe. Can not believe they got near London on Thursday and all the excitement started. That was quite a welcome to England for them. HOPE ALL YOUR FRIENDS ARE SAFE AND WELL.

Hi This! ~ I love your zoo pics! I thought that Ape was real at first!! I thought..."My, she sure is brave!!" LOL!!

Darling pics- that gorilla looks very realistic!

What do you call the little peccary type animals in the 5th picture? We call them javelina and have a hard time keeping them out of our yard as they are all over the place here. They have quite a stench, as well-

Fun at the zoo :)

Diana monkeys? I never heard of those! I'm going to have to look that up...And your big hairy friend is so handsome! It looks like you had beautiful weather and a wonderful time. Ruby violet and Eli melt my heart.

Such a fun-filled, happy day you all enjoyed together! Lovely photographs and I see you've been having fun playing with your header again :)

You're the gorilla my dreams, Thisisme! (LOL) I wonder how Alfred would have reacted to that statue? It was a pleasure to view these happy moments captured at the zoo. Can you imagine all of the memories Eli and Ruby took with them from this experience? It was also great to see your smiling daughter the newlywed. What a beautiful and photogenic family you have! I just can't say enough about your marvelous new header. It's tops!

So much fun. You should have sat int he gorilla's lap :)

Ahh...you're finally on my blogroll again. The guy you're with in the first pic looks like the strong, silent type - nice! Your babies are beautiful - looks like you all had a wonderful day at the zoo.

Glenda - Well, I'm glad that I'm back on your blog roll again my friend! I thought my bloggy friends would appreciate my new friend! Hee Hee!!

rainbow - I'm so glad that you've heard from your family. You must have been really worried when you saw all that looting and burning on your tv screens. It's just so terrible and pure criminality. Absolutely shocking. I think we're all stunned by it all! Fortunately, it hasn't spread down to Devon where I live. Hope your little family won't be affected by it at all.

Raindrops and Daisies - Hi Fiona. Yes, we had a lovely day and we were very lucky with the weather, as it was sunny and warm!

SkippyMom - thank you dear friend. I knew that YOU would be impressed with my new friend. He's very realistic, isn't he?!

Becky - yes, like I would go and cuddle up with a real ape like that! You silly billy!! LOL!

Shelly - yes, the gorilla was very realistic! We call those little pig like animals a Peccary, but Javelina is another word for them, so they are one and the same. Thankfully I didn't get that close that I could smell the stench! Apparently, they are also known as skunk pigs, so no wonder they pong!!!

LindyLouMac in Italy - yes, we did, indeed, have a fun day, and the little ones were as good as gold.

kneesandpaws -yes, Diana monkeys indeed. My daughter couldn't resist taking that photo. They weren't very pretty, I must admit!!

Desiree - yes, I have been playing around with my blog header again. Took me ages to do this one. It's much harder than just putting up one photo! Hope all is well with you and all your little pups.

Shady - Hi dear friend. I would imagine that Alfred would have been jumping up and down barking madly at my new friend!! The only time I heard him bark over here was when I had the hoover out, the lawn mower and the garden hose, and he then went mad trying to attack them!!

Linda - now why didn't I think of that -I should have perched myself on the gorilla's lap! hee hee!!

Great pics This. Love the giraffe's. They are gigantic aren't they? I've seen them in a Florida zoo once and couldn't get over how tall. The little ones are so adorable and having fun. Obviously, from the yawn I can tell how much fun. Glad you spent such precious time with them. Now I'm going to go in my corner and cry because I miss my girls! You are the Awesomeist. A new word.

I looked at this post on my phone and thought the gorilla was real at first week!
Now I see it is not and you are not being held ransom by King Kong.
Your photos are beautiful and you look very happy - glad you had a super day .)

Odie - hi my friend. Thank you for your nice comments about the header. That was kind of you to think of me with all that's going on over here at the moment. Fortunately, it hasn't reached my end of the country. Wasn't it absolutely horrendous to see. I think we're all completely stunned by it all.

Denise - yes, you're here, thankfully! That was a coincidence about the necklace wasn't it?! Good tastes or what?! Hee Hee!!

Bouncin'Barb - thank you. The giraffes were my favourite by far. Their markings are so beautiful, with amazing eyes. It was lovely to see the photo of Destini with her new little puppy in your post today, and, yes, I can imagine how much you miss them my friend. Believe me, if I had a magic wand, I would wave it and you would all be able to spend some time together. Awesomist - wow!! Hee Hee!!

Carol - King Kong indeed!! You are a little mynx. Where have you been? You've been very quiet lately me leetle friend. Guess it's a really busy time for you at the moment.

Here I am-last, as usual! We've been down for 5 days (no internet)-phone lines had to be replaced!

Couldn't miss your 'Wordless Wednesday'. It's the best. Your gorilla is very handsome. And your grandson is so cute on your headliner photo with the hat! Don't the giraffe look so graceful? I love to look at them. The zoo is so much fun. We're hoping to take our Grandson when the weather cools down some. Have a wonderful week!
