Hallo my dear bloggy friends. I hope you're all having an enjoyable weekend and taking good care of yourselves.
Me? I've been going a bit stir-crazy as I haven't really been out much at all since my little holiday in hospital (!), so hubby suggested that we have a day out. I really enjoyed it, although I'm rather tired again now because I did quite a lot of walking really. They reckon that I should be walking for about 30 minutes after six weeks, and as it's only just been three weeks, I think that was more than enough for me today.
We went to a National Trust property about an hour away from here, called Knightshayes Court. I don't know whether other countries have anything like the National Trust but, basically, a lot of the landed gentry here in England find it very difficult to keep up with the financial upkeep of looking after their country houses and estates, so the National Trust steps in and looks after them for the nation.
Anyway, that is why my Sunday Snaps feature is rather later than usual today, but I hope you enjoy looking at the photos of the gardens, which really are beautiful.

Just arriving at your blog puts a smile on my face when I see your header picture.
The photos here today are stunning and added some colour to my dreary colourless side of the planet. In short order I think BC is going to float away, right off the coastline as we have had more than our share of rain. That being said...I'm thankful it's nothing worse.

Hallo, dear Thisisme! I am very fond of you but at the same time I need to remind you to ask permission the next time you wish to visit my estate and stroll around taking pictures! (LOL) I wish our friend Desiree was here to take this tour and view these magnificent images of the ivy enshrouded mansion and the rain freshened lawns, wildflowers, formal hedges and topiary. I also love the statuary including the family of deer. I remember the reference made to The National Trust in the Beatles' song "Happiness is a Warm Gun."

Those are glorious pictures, but the best one of all is the one of beautiful you, out and enjoying nature's lovelies. I am so glad you are up and about, but take care and don't overdo it~
What a beautiful location. I admire the National Trust concept, we have been visiting many place while in UK, enjoyed it a lot the collection at the Lakes for example. It is indeed worth the travel. I do hope that you feel better and I so like your smile :) happy week!

Well, I remember teaching in the English textbook for students about National Trust, Helen Beatrix Potter, Peter Rabbit and lakeland. It is my dream to be able to visit lakeland, haha may not be come true...(^^;)

England is so very lovely. I'm enchanted by the gardens, the beautiful country "castle" and those beautiful people strolling about. So happy to see that you are able to take a little field trip. Thank you for continuing to blog, despite your ordeal and recovery. I have missed you. So glad to see that you are able to be walking and building your strength back up.
