There Will Be Lots of Hearts and Love This Month ....

Hallo to all my little bloggy peeps!  Here we are then, at the beginning of another month.  I am always glad to get January out of the way I must admit.

I suppose I had better give you a little warning here.  My 'older' Followers will know that I like a little romance (well, a LOT of romance actually!).  I might not get much in my real life, but I can certainly make my own, and I intend to do this during the month of February, or at least leading up to Valentine's Day!

So, you can either come along for the ride, or you can give my posts a miss until it's all over!  I can't really say fairer than that, can I?!

I hope that February will be a happy month for you all.  January, for us over here in England, finished on a very wet note, and my facebook friends will know that the garden is under water at the moment.  The garage has also been flooded.  Never mind, I am just so grateful that the water hasn't entered the house.

I was trying to think how I would spend a perfect Valentine's Day if I had both the money and the choice.  It's quite a difficult one really, because there are so many wonderful places out there.  Bear in mind that this is a fantasy day, so the weather would be sunny, dry and warm all day!

I would like to start the day being woken up by my grandchildren.  Eleanor and I could have lots of giggles, and then the little ones would come into the bedroom, their hair all tousled and their eyes still  sleepy.  It's wonderful how they are always so happy when they first wake up, and they would say "is it morning time yet, grandma?!" Bliss.  See, I'm quite easily pleased really.

We would then spend an hour on our favourite beach,  and have lunch overlooking the bay.

I would then fly to my very favourite place, Venice and spend the day sightseeing,  having a cappuccino sitting outside Florians in St Mark's Square, with the orchestra playing, and watching the people go by.  I would then retire to my plush apartment overlooking the Grand Canal, where I would listen to my favourite music and read a good book for an hour or two.

I would then fly home and have dinner, with a bottle of champagne,  in a lovely restaurant overlooking the water on Plymouth Hoe.

Well, a girl can dream, can't she?!

That all sounds wonderful - especially the Grandchildren part! I wish mine lived closer.

Hallo, dear Thisisme! I see you have an attractive new banner in place for this post. Very pretty, and I wholeheartedly agree with the message.

Can you believe we are already into the second month of this new year? Somebody somewhere is speeding up the clock! That being the case, let me be the first to wish you a very Merry Christmas! (LOL)

My weather has been similar to yours lately. It's been chilly, windy and rainy for a few days now and last night it rained especially hard. However, we welcome the moisture during this, the dry season in Florida. I'm sorry your garden is under water. I hope Sandy didn't float away! :)

Yessum, I know you well and remember how much you love to count down to V-Day each year. What a lovely fantasy you described! All of the places and activities you mentioned would be high on my list of favorite things to experience. I especially like relaxing and/or dining near the water and I also love to sit in a town square and listen to a band play whilst watching people pass by. It's ever so relaxing and enjoyable, isn't it?

Thank you for a wonderful post, dear friend Thisisme. I hope you're enjoying your weekend. Hugs and smooches to you!

P.S. - You'll be happy to know that our dear friend Margaret Schneider returned home from rehab yesterday, a blessing indeed! Our prayers were answered.

The BEST part of February is your count down to Valentine's Day it is almost as good as my count down to St Patrick's Day! January has gone by very fast this year but it has been so COLD and WINDY I'm glad it is over. Wish we could have had a little moisture but you can't have everything. Just looking forward to March and April, maybe we can get some rain then. I'm tired of this DROUGHT and want it over. Just have to be patient. God's timing is best.

Make it a GREAT WEEKEND and a DOUBLE BLESSED SUNDAY!!!!!!!!!

Thought I'd pop over from your Sunday post and see what all the ruckus is about!

YAY! Beautiful Venice...and beach photos. A great fantasy to be sure! February came fast this year, or am I just getting older? What a day that would be. I think the Venice excursion would just send me all the way!

Thank you for a lovely February beginning! See you soon!
