It Looks As If I Have Been Tagged!

I would just like to thank all those who took the trouble to comment on my brief post last evening.  I haven't actually tried to comment at all this morning, so we'll see what today brings.  You will all know that I am still reading and enjoying your wonderful posts, some of which make me smile, and some of which make me tearful.  There's always something different happening out there, and that's what makes our little Blogworld so entertaining and special.

My Mon Ami, Carol, over at Facing50withhumour  has very kindly (?!) tagged me in a little game of hers.  She really is such a little mynx and is always up to something.  I'm sure that most of my Followers follow Carol anyway, but if not, you must  pop over to see her.  Her writing is just so funny, mostly about her poor hubby, who seems such a lovely man and he has my every sympathy trying to keep up with his wife.  He takes her out on wild, windswept walks, mile after mile over rough terrain, in order to keep her fit and 'hot', but is she grateful?  Not a bit of it. Moan, moan, moan is all we hear!!

I tried to tell her that I just do NOT do 'games'.  If I play Monopoly, I usually end up throwing the board  in the air, especially as my husband will sit opposite me with a big smirk on his face, counting all his hotels and money, whilst I am sitting there threadbare and bankrupt.  All I can remember about games at school, is standing in front of the goalmouth at Hockey in my navy blue serge knickers, with a hulking great Amazonian female racing towards me at full pelt.  I usually used to just freeze to the spot and the other team always managed to win, say,  9 - 0!  On top of all that, nobody would speak to me on the long trudge across the muddy field back to the changing rooms. I tell you, my schooldays were very sad and lonely!  I always dreamt of being the star of the Netball team but, at about 4 ft nothing in those days, that just wasn't going to happen.  Hee Hee!!

Oh well, I had better have a go at this game of Tag I suppose, otherwise you-know-who will be over here to have a go at me.

Do you think you're hot - I'm sorry, I don't understand the question.  Obviously, I get a bit warm if I sit too close to the radiator.

Upload a picture or wallpaper that you are using at the moment -

This collage is the wallpaper on my laptop. The photos were taken when all the family were together in France last Christmas.

When was the last time you ate chicken? - I love chicken, especially roast chicken with all the trimmings.  I cooked chicken legs and thighs a couple of days ago, coated with thyme and rosemary.

The song/songs you listened to recently - I have been playing a CD by Adele a lot lately. I don't expect my American friends have heard of her, but she is wonderful! One particular song of hers is called Make You Feel My Love.  If you can Google it, just listen to the words.  They are so beautiful!

What Were you thinking whilst doing this - I have a couple of friends coming round for coffee in a couple of hours, so I really must get showered and go up and buy some cake and biscuits!

Do you have any nicknames? - That's an easy one - NOPE!  Although I always think Dopey would be a good one for me!

Tag eight blogger friends.  Now I just know that you're all sitting there now, shouting "pick me, pick me, pick me!!"  Several of my friends have already been tagged I notice.  Anyway, here are the lucky ones.  Ta Dah!!

GawgusThings - Gawgus writes an amazing fashion blog, but also talks about all things 'gawgus' in her life, from recipes, to photos, to family and friends.

Wallene over at If You Knew My Mother You'd Understand - Wallene is the beautiful daughter of one of my closest blogging friends.  I think the title of her Blog is brilliant, and I think she will have a bit of fun with this one!

Martha over at Jelly Shane - Martha's husband is working away at the moment and she misses him very much, now being 'home alone' with two children.  I thought perhaps this little game might take her mind off things for a while!

Hubby over at FortifyingyourFifties - Hubby is actually Mr Facing50withhumour, and has been allowed to write his own blog, which is every bit as funny as Mrs Facing50 - go and have a look!  He knows me as 'that nice lady from Devon' - bet he's going to love me for this.  Hee Hee!!

I know this is a bit of a cheek, but do you mind awfully if I leave my other four choices until tomorrow.  I really do have to dash now, otherwise I shall still be sat here in my dressing gown when my friends arrive.  Au Revoir!

Lovely getting to know you a bit more! I love that picture collage you have for your desktop. What fun you all had together!

Take care and I hope your coffee date with your friends was fabulous!

Best wishes,
Natasha.

What problems you have been having with leaving comments. Another blogger friend is having the same one at the moment but has found a way round the situation. She is able to leave her comment as Anon, so does this but signs her name after the comment so everyone knows who it is after all :)
Have a good natter with your friends this morning.

LindyLouMac in Italy - yes, I was commenting as Anonymous and then saying who I actually was. But when I went into my American friends' blogs, they didn't have the Anonymous option. I thought I had it sussed as well! Thanks for the info though!

Natasha - nice to see you! Yes, I'm looking forward to the coffee and cake!

Sush - Oh, I'm surprised you know about Adele! I love her music. Thank you so much for your helpful hints yesterday about commenting. I am going to try them out later on today!

Thisisme...Actually we do have Anonymous here in America...I am finding Blogger is pretty finicky right now. I have to do all the falldarall I spoke of to comment and now I am unable to sign out of my own blog! Grrrr! Hope they get their act together soon and get everything straightened out!
Hugs~

You always write entertaining posts. I never enjoyed school much either, but for reasons within the classroom!

I aspire to the way you write humor! I'm sitting here laughing because of the description about playing monopoly. I don't do games either! My father always HAD to win, and did win, every time, every game, no matter what. So as you can imagine I associate game playing with being a loser. Your writing is delightful, uplifting and it makes me feel like we are chatting directly. I hope you have a wonderful day:)

What a great way to tell more about yourself! Truly enjoyed the read. In sports, I was always the one picked last on any team. I was the klutz with no coordination at all.

Thisisme you did quite well on the questions. I think Shady & I would have a slightly different twist on the "Hot" one. I have discovered that when I click on leaving a comment if I do not see my name below it means I will run into the never ending sign in so I just skip that one sadly. I have run into only two so far this morning and the rest like yours should be fine. Have a great rest of the day.

Lovely post, it brought a smile to my face while having my coffee after lunch here at my desk :-)

I like Adele a lot, her songs is really good.

Have a lovely time with your friends.

Cheers,
Eva-Marie

I haven't encountered any problems with commenting thus far, Thisisme, and I'm delighted to see you back in action. It's extremely frustrating when technical difficulties prevent us from communicating with friends. I love your collage because it contains three of my favorites: Ruby Violet, G-T, and Alfred. Have a delightful day in Devon, dear friend!

Duncan - Well, I never enjoyed school for reasons INSIDE the classroom as well. Whoever said that schooldays were the best day of your life, was lying!!

kneesandpaws - thank you for your sweet comments, and I'm glad it feels as if we are 'talking' directly! Yes, 'loser' is quite a good way to describe me!! I was always hopeless at games of any sort.

Glenda Manus - I love that word - klutz!! Hee Hee! Like you, I never had any co=ordination. My dad used to spend hours throwing the ball to me, and it always used to drop right through my fingers!!

Odie - you are right, it is sad that we can't leave comments on our friends' blogs. Like you, if I don't see my name, I just pass onto the next one. The whole thing about blogging really is to get the interaction between people, and we are missing out on that a little bit at the moment.

Eva-Marie - glad my post gave you a little smile whilst you were having your coffee. I do love Adele I must admit. Hope you're having a good day.

Shady - hi there dear friend. Yes, I know it's nothing in the scheme of things, but this blogger business is just so time-consuming at the moment, and so frustrating when you type quite a long comment, only to find that you can't get it through to people. Oh well, onwards and upwards! Glad they are three of your favourite people!!!

Hahaha! Love it you've tagged Hubby! He's already in a funk about the music in the car. He made me turn off the Wu Tang Clan and put the radio on and I'd already tuned it to Kerrang (Rock station) so he wasn't a happy bunny. He had to drive to town in silence which suited me:)and he's to cap it all he's caught my cold. This is the icingon the cake - it's brilliant! He's gone off to his room to sulk and sniffle. Thank you so much you very naughty lady not only for your kind words but for making my day. Hee hee
p.s. Part of me thinks he's quite enchanted by the nice lady from Devon though and is a bit pleased you asked him . XOXO

Facing50withhumour - your comment just got better and better! I can just imagine the music in the car, and then the rock station - oh my, I love it! My hubby always has these men prattling away on Radio 5Live, so full of themselves. I can't imagine what would happen if I re-tuned it to a rock station! LOL!! And he's caught your cold to! Oh dear, poor boy, how sad!! Don't forget you've not go to refuse to be in the same room as him, in case you catch it back again. You do make me smile!

Southhamsdarling said...

Facing50 - Sorry, I've been on the sherry again (!!) - that should have read "

Facing 50 - Hic!! ""You've now got to refuse to be in the same room...."

Hope your blog is healed now - lol.

Loved your family collage.

great getting to know you and hope you have a lovely time with your friends.

Chatty - I can still only leave comments on SOME blogs. It's really strange! I hope it is healed soon too!

Stella - lovely to see you. Yes, your comment arrived, but there are so many blogs that I am unable to comment on, which is such a shame :(

Becca - thank you, and thank you for always coming across to leave a comment!

ThisIsMe....your newer posting is not showing up when I click on it! Is anyone else getting 'It Looks As If I have Been Tagged Part 2?
Grr Blogger get right, please!

Southhamsdarling said...

SkippyMom - Hi. I'm so glad that Wallene was pleased!!

Empty Nester - glad you enjoyed it! It can be difficult sometimes to come up with something a bit different.

Sush - Oh no! I'm so sorry to hear that you can't pick up my latest post. Have you tried just clicking on Southhamsdarling, and NOT the actual title of the post? Sometimes that works for me. It's really strange how Blogger never seemed to have any problems and now, since the 13th May when it went down completely, it seems to have real problems of one sort or another. Grrrr indeed!!

LindyLouMac - Hi! Yes, my followers all came back this morning. I did try re-loading the gadget yesterday, but it didn't work. It's most peculiar how everyone seems to have slightly different problems at the moment. Hope all is well with you.

Jo-Anne Rambling - Hi there. I'm glad I'm not the only one who hated school then!! My daughters were never really into it either :( Yes, this game of tag is so much better, when we can just sit, as you say, on our bums!!
