364 days to Christmas!!

Hallo everyone.  Just a short little post today, hoping that you all had a very special day yesterday, and that Santa brought you lots of lovely things.  More importantly, I hope you spent the day with your loved ones and made some happy memories.

Our day was wonderful, although a bit manic at times, as you can imagine with the two youngest ones of the family (aged 2 and 1) getting very excited about opening their presents.  Fortunately, we weren't woken up to early, so that was good.  The two year old got very possessive of all his new things, but then wanted to play with all the little girl's new presents as well.

It was especially wonderful for me, because I didn't have to do a single thing, apart from playing with the children.  My wonderful daughter and her husband worked very hard at making sure that everything was just right for us, and I wasn't even allowed to lay the table, so I say a very big "thank you" to them both.

I did get the Wii Fit game in my stocking so, hopefully, in the new year, I will be able to start out on a new fitness regime.

I will close for now, wishing you all warmest wishes and blessings for the remainder of this Christmas time.

It was a lovely day in the 70's here in Florida, Thisisme. We had a delightful family gathering and dinner and exchanged gifts. My black Cocker Spaniel was excited thinking that every present was for her! In the midst of it all I gave thanks for you and my other new friends around the world.

Thank you Ann. Yes, it was rather lovely to be spoilt like that, I must admit. Lovely to hear from you.

Shady - glad you had a lovely day. we had a little 7 month old puppy here, but he was so good, especially with the very young children, who he hadn't met before. Those temperatures sound very pleasant indeed!

So glad you had such a perfect day with your daughter. We also had a wonderful time with family but during the night got the biggest snow fall we have had in many years and it is causing us lots of grief. People in NC just can't deal with snow over a dusting.

Odie - not so good with the heavy snowfall. Hope it doesn't hang around too long.

How nice to be able to sit back and enjoy! I know what you mean by "manic". Our 2 year old Grandson was with us and he really enjoyed the holiday-he had as much spirit as we did. What a great picture, that snowman is very large. So glad you've been able to relax after a grueling drive.

Susan - it's lovely having grandchildren, isn't it? I have a little thing in the house that says "grandchildren are God's reward for having children."! Now relaxing again at home after another not very nice drive!
