Hi everyone.  I just wanted to pop by and wish all my American friends a very happy Independence Day.  Hope you all have a lovely day.

St. Louis has a huge, FREE, three day festival with big name bands, air show, and all sorts of entertainment under the Arch, then giant fireworks display. However, thunderstorms dumped on us and cancelled yesterday's events. Looks like more of the same this afternoon :( That's the way it is.
Have a grand day with your family.

You're thoughtful to think of us on our Independence day! There's lots of red, white and blue flying today. Although a little "worse for the wear" with our economic situation, we're still a proud and patriotic country. God Bless America!

Thanks so much my sweet friend for the great wishes. Linda & I will be traveling home this morning for our reunion with our Rocky. It has been a wonderful time here on the dairy. Have a great week.

Hi Thisisme! How sweet and thoughtful of you to wish us Yanks a Happy 4th! I live in the same area as Linda O., and yes it's still rainy and yucky today. I'm glad we didn't have any outdoor plans! Have a wonderful week!

Linda - all those planned events sounded quite wonderful. Such a pity that the weather had to go and spoil it all. That's what usually happens over here! Wow! I didn't realize you were from St Louis. Reminds me of the film, "Meet Me in St Louis!".

Glenda - So many countries are in this economic slump at the moment, but I'm glad to see that people are still flying the flags over there! You are a very patriotic country. We're not quite so patriotic in this country, I'm afraid, although everyone did pull together on the Royal Wedding day, which was so great to see!

Odie - Rocky will be so pleased to see you and Linda, my friend (As you will be thrilled to meet up with him again!). Glad you have had a lovely break away and hope that you return home feeling refreshed.

Orchid - you leave the sweetest comments for me, and I do appreciate that! I will pop over to receive your reply in a little while my friend. Warm wishes to you both.

LindyLouMac in Italy - hi there. Good to see you! The sun is still shining, so we have had a good run this time. Rain and unsettled tomorrow and for the rest of the week. Hope you are well.

Carol - Hi my leetle friend. So good to see you. When are you coming home again??? Sorry you've got the rain over there! As you can see from my reply to LindyLou above, it is expected back here in England tomorrow. Take care and hope you're having a great time x

Becky - Such a bummer that the weather isn't being kind for you today in your part of the USA, but I hope you have a good day anyway! Lovely to see you here today.

SkippyMom - my pleasure, my dear friend. You know how much you all mean to me and I am certainly thinking of you on this special day for your country. Hugs.

This just goes to show what an awesome lady you are! Funny how we fought to break off from England and now we are great friends with them. War and politics just don't make sense do they? Thanks for the wishes!!

Have a lovely evening!

Bouncin'Barb - yes, it really is funny how we are now the bestest of friends, isn't it?! As you say, politics is a strange old game, but I for one am glad that our countries are friends, and that I, personally, have found some lovely friends over there through this blogging community of ours. Hugs my dear friend.

Olive - enjoy the barbecue, and I hope the weather is good for you.

EvaMarie - yes, I thought that quote was quite good. We have had a gorgeous sunny day again, but I think the rain is due tomorrow! :(

Thank you for the kind well wishes! We are having a struggle for independence with a teenage girl in the house. I think she'll feel like setting off fireworks when she's officially out of the house!

Becca - my pleasure!

Belle - well, our American friends are always there for us, so it's nice to be able to wish them all well on their special day!

Chatty Crone - my pleasure, my friend.
