Peace Amongst The Hustle & Bustle!

Well. I spent a lovely couple of hours yesterday morning, as my daughter (who lives in France) and I went to a lovely little town near here, and had a lovely browse around the shops, with their windows all decorated for Christmas. There were just the two of us, as Eleanor decided that she would rather stay in bed!

We came upon a lovely little olde worlde tea shop, where we enjoyed a frangipani mince pie with a pot of peppermint tea. It was wonderful sitting there amongst all the beautiful old china and watching the world rush by outside the window.

Only THREE sleeps to go!
I hope you will forgive me if I am not commenting on your posts quite so much at the moment, but I do send hugs to you all, and thank you again for all your friendship during the past year.

There's more, much more to Christmas
Than candle-light and cheer;
It's the spirit of sweet friendship
That brightens all the year;
It's thoughtfulness and kindness,
It's hope reborn again,
For peace, for understanding
And for goodwill to men!

Oh to be able to relax, walk and browse instead of scurry and hurry. We should all take tea.

Hi, Thisisme! The simple, quiet moment that you enjoyed with Emma is a priceless memory maker. I wish that I could have been there with you to sip tea, eat pie and watch the world go rushing by outside that window. G-T looks relaxed and content that makes me happy.

Ours truly is a sweet friendship, Thisisme. Can you imagine how good it made me feel to find your follow-up comment on my blog first thing this morning? That's genuine caring and at this moment my eyes are filled with tears of gratitude. Thank you for being my friend. Thank you for showing me your beautiful Devon, your beautiful family and your beautiful heart.

Merry Christmas to one and all!

What a lovely interlude, in the rush of the Season. It made me calm, just to read/see it.

Please do not worry about comments, at this time. It is a Family Time. It is Christmas Time. Is not for wasting time, in blog land. The long, cold Jan. and Feb. are coming. Then, we can find solace and warmth and coziness, chatting-away in pretty blog land. :-)

A Happy, Happy Christmas to you, Dear One. And to yours...

"Happy, happy Christmas, that can win us back to the delusions of our childish days; that can recall to the old man the pleasures of his youth; and transport the sailor and the traveller, thousands of miles away, back to his own fire-side and his quiet home!"
~~Charles Dickens,
"The Pickwick Papers", 1836
