Some more Christmas Cheer...

He who has not Christmas in his heart, will never find it under a tree.  Roy L.Smith.

Christmas, my child, is love in action.  Every time we love, every time we give,
it's Christmas.  Dale Evans.

Every gift which is given, even though it be small, is in reality great,
if it is given with affection.  Pindar.

Your children need your presence more than your presents.  Jesse Jackson.

Christmas is full of shiny things
That sparkle gleam and glow;
These Holiday pleasures dazzle us,
And yet deep down we know...
That Christmas has its special gifts,
...
But our year round joy depends
On the cherished people in our lives,
Our family and our friends...
The lovely Natasha over at 5 Minutes Just For Me absolutely loves Christmas and even though it will be hot where she lives in Australia, she does the full works, and decorates her house beautifully.  It would be worthwhile popping across to look at her gorgeous pictures. Anyway, she gave me the idea of just putting baubles onto cake stands, and it looked so effective that I thought I would give it a go! See what you think.

I just love having twinkling fairy lights everywhere!

I'm starting to get excited now, because Emma, Eleanor and Alfred are arriving from France this coming Friday.  I know that 'Aunty Em' is looking forward to taking  Eli to see Father Christmas!

Take care.

The following lyrics are an excerpt from "It's The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year."

There'll be parties for hosting
Marshmallows for toasting
And caroling out in the snow
There'll be scary ghost stories
And tales of the glories of
Christmases long, long ago

It's the most wonderful time of the year
There'll be much mistltoeing
And hearts will be glowing
When love ones are near
It's the most wonderful time of the year

Just perfect in every way it is! I love the christmas season with all of its gliter and shine with its miracles small and big.
The love of a chidl as their eys light up with joy and the gift of those we love around us.
Mostly I just love that Christmas is everyday in our hearts when we have the Lord.
Love all your Christmas beauty and the idea of the bubbles on the cake tray is wonderful.
Blessings

Love your photos and decorating ideas. It just simply a pleasure to see how you have decorated and the idea of the cake stand being decorated is the very best. My thoughts and prayers will be with you and your family through Christmas. It is so nice for you to all be together. LOVE TO YOU AND YOUR FAMILY, HAVE THE BEST TIME EVER.

Loved the way everything is so twinkling and shimmery! I love how the sparkly things reflect the light right back at us!
I'm so happy you are having the lovely Ms Emma and company along with your family near to you all together for the holidays. We were all together at Thanksgiving but those that live away are spending it with the families near to where they live. Turnabout is fair play and we had a lovely time. It will be smaller but probably just as rowdy around here!
Hugs~

I love the sparklies too. I made a lil' foray out of the house today [yay!] and when we arrived home at twilight sweet Wallene had turned all the lights on outside, and the tree was all lit up in the window. I just sat in the car and enjoyed the view. [Okay, okay it was also reallllly cold outside. I like the heater. heehee]

Squirrel is home tomorrow, so I know how you feel. Counting the hours. :)

I'll have to admit that I have been not in the Christmas spirit as too many around me are not giving me anything to be cheerful about the way they go about their spending and scheduling. However my dear I do feel much better after spending time at your wonderful post. I loved it all and you picked some of the best quotes and lyrics and you have done a magnificent job in your home. You are an artist for sure. Thanks for helping this old guy feel better today.
Hugs,
Odie

What a beautiful post This. The pictures are awesome and your Christmas spirit is "almost" catchy to me. I think my Bah Humbug just comes from not being with my girls and son on Christmas. It's all about family isn't it? Maybe I'll put the 25 mini ornaments on the tree today just for you! Hugs my awesome friend!

I especially like the Jesse Jackson quote "Your Children need your presence much more than your presents." That's so very true. My son is getting a ton of gifts this year but in the end I know the important thing is face time with myself and his father.

Merry (almost) Christmas!

And I am late as usual :( was working until 8pm this evening. Your christmas decorations looks lovely, so cosy and nice. I love your window decorations. I absolutely love Christmas, even if it brings a mix of feelings [missing loved ones and such] But I really love putting up all the decorations. My favorites are the snowmen, I think. You must be exited to have your family coming home for Christmas - I'm sure you will have a lot of fun. Enjoy it my friend! Have a lovely evening! Big hugs x

Lovely pictures - thanks for helping me get in the Christmas spirit. I just don't seem to be feeling it much this year. I love lights - maybe I need to drive through a neighborhood with lots of them.

We'll be celebrating a 90th birthday party on Christmas Day! We've "Decked the Halls" and the front yard too. Do you do that in England? Last evening, Hubby took me to one of our fav places, where the whole street goes over the top with lights and decorations outside. It's like being in Disney World or something. Only ten days left! I am super excited!!!
