Sunday Snaps!

Hallo little peeps! Hope your weekend is going well.  Emma, Eleanor & Alfred arrived on Friday evening, much later than expected, after a pretty awful journey over from France.  Accident, road closures and the usual very heavy Friday traffic.  But the main thing is, they are here safe and sound (thank you Lord!) and they won't be returning until the 2nd January.

I have something a little different for you this week, because I was lucky to receive a lovely giveaway from my good friend Jenny over at knees and paws and this is what I received! Two pairs of gorgeous arm warmers, and the good news is that the material is SO soft that I can wear them without irritation to my skin (yay!).

The first pair are very Christmassy looking, don't you think?! They are really cute, as they have a little hole for your thumb as well.  Thank you Jenny! I am really pleased with them.

Jenny writes beautiful posts and her latest one (as at the time of writing) is entitled "Emotional Holidays" and I love the sentence where she says that "In the darkest night, if you look hard enough, somewhere there is a pinpoint of light."

My third photo today is of a lovely water colour of Venice.  I love Italy and, in particular, Venice ,and another dear bloggy friend, Eva-Marie from Eva Ason's Art Corner is a very gifted artist.  She works full time, but then comes home and paints to relax.  Her regular Followers will know just how many paintings  she can achieve in a week.  How I wish I had a talent like hers.

Anyway, in one of her posts, I saw this painting of Venice, and I decided to buy it for myself as an early Christmas present! I just love it, and it has pride of place in my hallway.

Eva-Marie's partner, Paul F Xavier composes and performs his own music, and I actually have one of his CD's, entitled A Different View, and it is just so relaxing to listen to it.  Theirs is obviously a very talented household!

I can hardly believe it, but this time next week, it will be CHRISTMAS DAY!  I will just leave you with another festive picture to get you in the mood!  Don't forget, keep calm, and don't get your tinsel in a tangle!

You are such a cutie, Diane! I love this post and the super piccies of you wearing your hand warmers a la Jenny. The framed print you bought from Eva's extensive gallery is really lovely. BTW I suspect you've broken the record for giving yourself "little preChristmas pressies" ;)
First it was a sneak preview of your camera now your print by Eva :) I have been lying low this past week with birthday celebrations and Christmas lunch yesterday at my 95 year old FIL's complex (what an excellent meal it was, too!) and I will be taking a complete break from blogging for a few weeks so I can make the most of our holiday season. This brings you much love and a huge hug to last till I resume my regular blogging schedule. Have a WONDERFUL Christmas with your precious family and stay safe! XO

Hallo, dear Thisisme! I'm breaking away from house guests to comment and I hope my message is not arriving too late for you to see it. Your latest header is awesome! You look fit as a fiddle in these pictures and I hope they're an indication of how you're feeling. That was so nice of Jenny and your other blog friend. I am greatly relieved to know that your #1's are safely off the road and in your care. Have a wonderful time with them! I attended a huge family reunion yesterday with 114 people present! Another big family event is scheduled today. Please bear with me. I will be back to full blog participation a.s.a.p. Got your email and very grateful for it!

Dear Diane,

Those arm warmers looks really cosy, and good that they're not itchy for you.

How nice of you to show the print that you bought of one of my paintings. It makes me feel very good knowing that you have that hanging at your wall. I hope it will give you lot's of joy. Paul is happy to hear that you like his music :) I'm sorry to be a bit late today, been working away a little in my little studio today, and organizing a few things.

I love the arm warmers. I was looking at crochet patterns online and saw some of those. I'm so glad your family made it safely to your house. How wonderful they are staying the entire holiday. My granddaughter saw Venice and loved it, the painting is lovely. It's nice to see the wonderful things our blogger friends make.

Here I am, trying to keep up! First of all, I love your header picture of the Nativity. You cannot go wrong with any Nativity scene. I enjoy the large ones that are placed in front of many churches. Your arm warmers are really cool-you can mix and match. You are so cute! And the painting is so nice...ah, Venice would be wonderful to see! Glad you're feeling better. Have a wonderful visit with your family, and I hope for their safe return home. Merry Christmas Diane! Hugs!
