Thought My Bloggy Friends Might Appreciate These!

Several of these made me chuckle, Thisisme, because they hit the nail on the head. We all fear the lonely sound of those cyber-crickets when we publish a post and nobody comes calling. I love how we each have our own unique way of presenting our material and how people from the four corners of the globe have come together in friendship. Yours is one of the most visually appealing blogs to be found anywhere and you enjoy changing the header from time to time. Believe it or not I had an entirely different template and header picked out and ready to apply at the end of last year. On the eve of the changover I abandoned the concept. I remembered that the original Shady Dell was bare bones basic - a dusty old barn that stayed the same for 50 years. Kids felt comfortable there and wouldn't have wanted it changed, updated and modernized. Therefore, I prefer to keep my blog very plain and basic and to maintain that same look year in and year out. It is my belief that readers will get anchored to the familiar layout, equate it with friendship, fun and relaxation just like the original Dell, and that the music and my welcoming words will keep them coming back. Have a wonderful weekend, dear friend Thisisme!

Great post! And a fine reminder of what we're all about. I like the one, "I'm busy, read my blog." And, yes, blogs do say who we are. I began blogging because I felt like I had some things to say and share-and hoped that others had similar interests. I just happened to see a blog one day on the internet, and finally figured it out. What fun! And, like Shady said, I've published and no one came calling. So, my friend, keep those cards and letters coming! Much love to you and yours-is Sunday Snaps still on?

Great post Diane :) I am usually late with my posts but that is how my schedule are! It's been great this week I've been home, having more time to catch up. Next week it's back to normal again! Have a lovely weekend my friend! Hugs x

Odie

What do you mean, "no comments"? Isn't that what it's all about? I loved the one: I'm busy--read my blog!"

Have a great weekend, Dear Heart.

Shady - hallo dear friend Tom. I expect it is lovely and warm again over there in Florida. Gosh, it must be hell for you! Hee Hee!! That was a long comment today. Thank you again for the lovely comment about my blog. Visually appealing- just like moi!! LOL!! I can quite see why you don't change the format of your blog at all. It certainly works very well for the content that you provide. Enjoy your weekend and I hope you are having some relaxing time. How's Toto these days? Haven't heard him mentioned for a while!

Susan - thank you my friend, and I'm glad you enjoyed today's post. I'm running out of Sunday Snaps, but I'll see what I can come up with for tomorrow! Hope all is well with you over there.

Eva - I bet it has been lovely being at home this week. That's what it's like for me all the time. Hee Hee! Not that I want to make you jealous or anything. Hope you are now fully recovered. Make the most of Sunday and chillax while
you can. Sending hugs to you x

Odie - thank you so much for that sweet comment my friend. I'm so glad that you enjoy reading my posts. Warmest wishes to you, Linda, Rocky and the newcomer!!

Steadfast Ahoy - Hi Rosemary. Well, as you can see, everyone has completely ignored me about no comments anyway!! Good to see you here today, as always. Likewise, I hope you are having a lovely weekend in your little corner of the world. Hugs.

Colenic - Hi there my friend. Really good to see you here today, and I'm glad you enjoyed the post. Pinterest opens up a whole new world, with some wonderful images available on any subject of your choice. Enjoy your weekend. Hugs to you too.

The one I like best is to abandon the guilt :) That's a good one to remember when life gets too busy to keep up with reading and commenting as regularly as we'd like. We're all in the same boat, after all and so we should have no difficulty understanding :)
Enjoy your weekend :)

I loved the images, especially the first one. Also like the quote, "You are special...just like everyone else." I find this to be so true. Everyone is special. It is wonderful to get to know all these special bloggers.

Desiree - Yes, I thought the one about abandoning the guilt was very appropriate, especially after my post and all the comments yesterday! I aim to do just that from now on! Hugs to you.

Bouncin'Barb - thank you! Praise indeed from my awesome friend x

Belle -I liked that one that we are all special and unique, as you are special to so many of us dear friend Belle. x

Sush - thank you, and I am glad you enjoyed them. Hope you're having a lovely weekend over there. Hugs.

Dearest Diane,
Oh, love to read them and feel like telling me, haha.
"It's your blog and you can vlog if you want to"
"Your blog is reflection of who you are"
I thought these two are really well-said.
As Ms.Desiree said, I should not feel too bad not to be able to write comments as I wish...
Love and Lots of Hugs to you, xoxo Miyako*

Orchid - Hallo dear friend Miyako! I'm glad you enjoyed the images today. Yes, I agree, we must NOT feel guilty when we are unable to visit as many blogs as we wish, or leave as many comments as we would like! Blessings to you my friend.

Claudia - thank you, and it's lovely to have you back! So glad you had a lovely relaxing holiday.

Jo-Anne Rambling - I'm so glad you liked the post today, and it's lovely to see you here. I've been a bit behind as well, but I am resolving to NOT feel guilty about it in future, so that I don't put pressure on myself. After all, that is not what blogging should be about!
