They will have quite a house full, as also going on the journey will be myself and my husband, my younger daughter and her partner, along with their two little ones, aged two and eleven months. Oh! and the partner's 13 year old son. Won't it be wonderful, though, to have the whole family together at such a special time of the year. We will be driving across this time rather than flying, in view of all the pressies and assorted other goodies that we will be taking.
One of the reasons that we are all travelling to France this year, is that the family living there bought a puppy a couple of months ago, and he doesn't get his Passport to come over to England until next March! He is a French Bulldog called Alfred, and I'm really looking forward to meeting him.
Here is a photo of Alfred whilst he was out shopping last week. I will tell you all about the visit in a blog after Christmas.

With reference to the poem you posted one of my FB friends has found out who wrote it, thought you would like to know.
Rose Milligan, first published in 'The Lady' in 1998.
Thanks for letting me know about the poem LindyLou - that's really interesting. I've seen it published several times, but they never say who wrote it.
