Dear Blog, Well, here we are at the beginning of November, and I must admit to feeling quite chuffed with myself, because I have already bought a lot of my Christmas presents. Yesterday I bought the wrapping paper, so will probably have a pressie-wrapping session at the weekend.
I am loving catching up with all my new friends on their various Blogs - it's almost like sitting down with a good book. I don't know how people manage who have loads of Followers, because they have an awful lot of Blogs to read and comment on!
"Dust if you Must" - I'm sure a few of you will have seen this already, but I think it's good, and something that perhaps we women should take notice of, so here goes :
Dust if you must, but wouldn't it be better, to paint a picture, or write a letter,
bake a cake or plant a seed - ponder the difference between want and need.
Dust if you must, but there's not much time, with rivers to swim and mountains to climb,
music to hear and books to read; friends to cherish and life to lead.
Dust if you must, but the world is out there, with sun in your eyes and the wind in your hair;
A flutter of snow, a shower of rain - this day will not come round again.
Dust if you must, but bear in mind, old age will come - and it's not kind,
and when you go, and go you must, you, yourself, will make more dust.

It's a good one, isn't it Col?! Something we should all remember, and not get in too much of a twist about the little things - and i'm as guilty of that as the next person!!
