Horses

Here are the horses in the field right next to our garden.  They are always after apples, which we collect from the orchard to give to them.  Sometimes the field is also full of sheep, and then, from about May to July, the Farmer lets the grass grow, so that they can bring in the harvest at the beginning of August, which ensures that they have feed for their animals throughout the Winter.  When my granddaughter was young, she asked if we lived on a farm.  Almost, but not quite!

Is that blue sky I see?! In Devon?!

Yes, Gawgus things, we DO get blue skies from time to time!

How beautiful!! ~ I'm curious... do you really not see blue skies very often over there??

I think Gawgus things was just joking, Becky. She knows this part of the world very well. Yes, we do have lovely blue skies here, and Devon and Cornwall is where most people in England come for their holidays if they are not going abroad, because it really is such a lovely spot.

I love looking at horses and the sky was beautiful as well. You are blessed to live where you can enjoy being near those magnificent creatures. Have a wonderful day. It is rainy and in the high 60's here in North Carolina.

Shame about the rain Odie. The sun is actually shining brightly here today, though pretty cold outside. We had a very heavy frost again this morning, which is quite early really, so I hope it doesn't mean that we're going to have a harsh Winter like we did last year!

I wrote a big comment to this and it disappeared. It's been happening quite a bit lately and it's frustrating. Anyway, just glad that you get to see horses so close to you. They are beautiful, very smart and have their own distinct personalities. Miss the ones we used to help take care of.

I know what you mean Barb, because it's happened to me a few times as well. It's so annoying when you have written quite a bit. Hope you're okay.

It was lovely to receive all your comments, on what I thought was an innocuous (gosh, where did that word come from?!) little post, but you are right, I am very blessed in the area in which I live.
