Sunday Song

I love this song by Elvis Presley ("Always on my Mind") and I love the words.  Somehow it always makes me feel sad, because it is obviously about a lost love, and perhaps it should remind us all this Sunday to take care of the one we love, to not take them for granted, and to let them know how much they mean to us.

After you...! It's very true though, we can sometimes get so wrapped up in ourselves we forget about our loved ones.

Beautiful song and beautiful thoughts. I also loved the many picture during the life of Elvis. We all need to try a little harder so that won't be our song.

Good song, good post, good idea. I do try to let them know but it never hurts to tell them again does it?

If anyone wants to join in Sunday Song, it was set up by Natasha at 5 minutes just for me.

Almost right, you should have put the link address and not your blog address so that it goes directly to post. Also maybe a good idea to use a different picture in the linky, not Natasha's badge. You now need to create a link from your post back to Natasha's, take a look at how I have done this if you are not sure how. :)

No not at all that is fine. It took me ages to get the hang of all this and I am still not good. You will refine your posts as you go along. The link is the address in the bar above your blog, it either shows your home address or that of the post page you are on. When you are writing posts and you want to add a hyperlink that is what you are using. Does this make sense? Trial and error you will get there.

Nice post and it made me think I really need to call my girlfriend that I haven't talked to in ages. That is a great Elvis song. I've got a few songs that really "get me" too. Have you ever heard - Seven Spanish Angels by Willie Nelson, yikes -get's me every time. Thanks for checking out my blog.

This is a good song. I love sad sappy songs. I listened to Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas this morning and just about cried. LOL

Glad you all liked the choice of song this week. I really think that Elvis had such a unique voice.

Sandy, yes I have heard that Willie Nelson song, and it does get to you. Strangely enough, I also like Willie Nelson's version of "You Were Always On My Mind." Thanks for popping by.

I like the idea of the Sunday song thing. Myself, I woke up with "Ob La Di, Ob La Da" going through my head.

I missed Elvis by a few years but am familiar with his music because several relatives loved him. Joe has a great story related to him but getting Joe to write on the blog will not happen until he retires.

Olive, tell Joe that we would all love to hear his story relating to Elvis!!

You are so sweet linking up to my Sunday Song post! I was just reading the comments that Linda left-isn't she wonderful! I feel really bad telling you this as this is the first time you have joined in but I just wanted to let you know that next week will be the last Sunday Song party until January. Like everyone else at this time of year, I am going to be really busy over the next few weeks and I am going to have a little bloggy break over Christmas. So I really hope that you will please join in next week for one last Sunday Song for the year!

Thanks again and have a lovely week-stay warm!

Best wishes,
Natasha.
