To All My Australian Followers

We have been watching the terrible flooding on the BBC news about the floods in Queensland, and they are now right up as far as Brisbane.

I just wanted to write a little note to all my Australian followers to say that I hope that you are all well and not affected by this freak weather.

I have been thinking of you all!  Please take care.

Oh, thank you so much! I can't believe that I get an award let alone my third one! I will see when I will answer the questions attached, love to read what you wrote (are you sure you don't want to use a first name, even a *fake* one?)
I couldn't write a comment on that post, there is no comment box.
On your latest post, it is heartbreaking to see what is happening in Oz indeed....
Thanks again for thinking of me,

Nicely expressed, Thisisme. The same goes for me!

I know this is terrible and on the level of our Katrina.

This, you read my mind as I was thinking about this very thing this morning. Great post and my thoughts are with all of them as well.

I just don't know why there was no comment box on my previous post folks! It's a mystery indeed. I was wondering why I hadn't received any comments today!

I've just received some photographs from a friend who has had to be rescued from the rising waters. What a catastrophe! I'd like to add my thoughts too to everyone affected and hope that they are safe.
Thisisme you are wonderful to think of me and pass this award on. I am embarrassed to say that I received it too recently and so cannot take it a second time but I thank you wholeheartedly for passing it to me.
As for you, you thoroughly deserve this and many other awards. I read your responses agreeing - yes, I don't look in the mirror much, yes, I'd like to take up watercolours and then I read your poignant moment. How dreadfully sad. At least though you were there for your Mother. My Father wouldn't let us sit with him when he passed away and it is one of my deepest regrets that I was not there for him. You are a wonderful blogger and I'm so pleased that I met you.

I have been talking to Mynx and she has been sending me updates and it is just awful. I wish for the safety of everyone there and the waters recede soon.

Our thoughts and prayers to our Aussie compatriots.

My prayers and thoughts are with them as well! Brisbane is where I studied abroad, so it is very close to my heart.

It looks horrendous and very scary for the people caught up in it all. A lovely post and it makes you realise there is always someone worse off than you :)

My husband's family is IN Brisbane, but thankfully they are in cities that haven't been flooded-yet. They are bracing for the worst and may have to evacuate.

Thanks for the kind words, as my heart IS half Australian, you know <3

It is simply wonderful to see all the comments and wishes for the flood victims. It is a long way from me but I have a friend with family members affected. It is going to be a long road to recovery

Hed - what a worry it must be for them. Yes, I knew that you had the Australian connection. Let's hope that it doesn't come to evacuation for your husband's family. Such a terrible time for all those involved.

Mynx - at least I am glad that YOU are not directly affected, although your friend must be very worried. You will know how many prayers are going their way by all the comments on this particular post. As you say though, it will only be when the waters recede that the true scale of the tragedy will be revealed. I certainly don't envy all those involved.
