Award

On the 29th December, my good friend Colenic, over at http://asmileaday-colenic.blogspot.com/  awarded me (along with four other bloggers) the Honest Scrap Award.  Obviously, I was completely surprised and thrilled to gain this Award, and I thank Col very much for thinking of me.
Apparently, I have to share five random things about myself with you, and then pass the Award on to five other people, so here goes.

1.  In 1984, along with my husband, I attended a Royal Garden Party at Buckingham Palace, and Prince Charles came and spoke to us.
I had dark hair then, and huge glasses were in fashion! LOL!

2.  Patience is NOT one of my virtues, I'm afraid.

3.  I had piano lessons for seven years, from the age of 9.

4.  I have lots (and lots!) of handbags.  One day, I will post a photo of them all.

5.   In 4 months time, I will get to the age mentioned in The Beatles' song, "Will you still be sending me a Valentine, birthday greetings, a bottle of wine!"  Hopefully, you won't know the song I'm talking about. LOL!

There! I hope that was random enough for you.  Now we come to choosing 5 worthy recipients, and (drum roll please!), here they are :

                                      Natasha from http://5minutesjustforme.blogspot.com/

I look forward to hearing random things about all of them!

Thisisme, THANK YOU very much for this award! I am both surprised and delighted. You are a sweetheart for thinking of me and I will proudly display this emblem on SDM&M. Give me some time to think of my five and five and I will devote an upcoming post to it. Thank you again for your kindness, dear friend.

As for that Beatles song that gives away your age...all I can think of is "she was just 17" and I saw her standing there! Am I correct? (LOL)

Shady, it was my pleasure to hand over that Award to you - you certainly deserve it. As for "she was just 17" - well, yes, she was once!! LOL! I knew I could rely on you to make me smile my friend.

This...You don't look your age by a long shot. I think you look great. That's cause you're preserved with sweetness! Loved the pics. I love handbags but only have two. Can't wait to see pics of yours. Congrats and to the winners too! I'll be sure to check out the ones I am not familiar with! Hugs sweet lady!

Congratulations on the award. You are special to all of us. I loved the pictures, especially the one with Royalty. So attractive and keeping your youthful appearance. My wife would need a wide angle lens to capture all the handbags she has collected. Take care & I'll catch you later.

great post! i also love handbags. i've pared down and given several away to the teenage granddaughters. a handbag has to have inside pockets and dividers for me to realy like them. and the option to carry as a shoulder bag.

very cool to have tea at the palace!

Odie - thank you so much. I noticed that you've gained a lot more followers again lately. Well done! I'm glad Linda likes handbags as well, and I hope you both enjoyed the birthday meal.
